If you decide to travel to the Urgent Care Clinic, here is a checklist to follow:
- Bring your health insurance cards
- Bring a check, cash, debit or credit card to make the copayment - typically $25 to $50
- Bring the containers with labels for all medicine that the patient is currently taking
- Bring a written list of the doctors, including phone numbers, that the patient is currently seeing
- Bring a book, computer, handheld game player or music player (bring audio headphones) to use while you wait
- Bring small toys or activities for children to use while they wait.
Here's how treatment priorities and decisions are made at the Urgent Care Clinic
- Patients are *not* treated in the order that they arrive at the Clinic.
- The most urgent medical situations are treated first. The least urgent are treated last.
- An emergency medicine doctor makes the decision about who is treated and in what order.
- There are no exceptions to this method of deciding on who is treated and in what order.
Other FAQ
- The Urgent Care Clinic cannot refill prescriptions and typically will not refill pain-related prescriptions unless the prescribing physician authorizes the refill.
- The Urgent Care Clinic does not have any in-patient facilities or services.
- The Urgent Care Clinic does not provide child-care. You are responsible for the care and supervision of your children.
- There is a television in the Clinic. The staff at the Clinic decide what channels are displayed. There is no audio. Closed captioning is displayed.
- There is no free parking at the Clinic. The parking fee is $3.00.
